Warm welcome at receiption and got the room we requested and helpful local info before heading to the room. The room was spacious with a very comfortable large double bed. Happy with most things, I would say the the room was a little unclean and the toilets squeshed between a wall and the shower so you will need to squeeze in! Otherwise would stay again :)
This is my first 2 star hotel and after reading some reviews i got a little scared. When i got there ( 2 busses full) the girls at reception gave us all a smile and told us the room numbers. The outside looked very nice and there was a Tesco very nearby. When we got in the room it looked very nice, small but nice and clean. We where only with 2 so it was perfect for us. The bathroom was small but everything that you need was there and it was clean. After we empty the suitcase and went to Tesco for some drinks we went to bed. And i must say i slept perfectly. There where some noises but not what i had read in reviews. Breakfast was very nice but the restaurant is not so big and with about 80+ people it is to small. We had breakfast early so we where there with only 3 other couples. We had a very nice breakfast and before the group came we where done eating. We defenitly would come back to this hotel
It was a nice experience to stay at this for work purpose. It is at a walking distance from station and just opposite to Tesco Extra. The room was clean and tidy with a double bed and attached bath. The breakfast was limited but delicious. Only issue was that there was no fridge to keep ur stuff or any facility to warm your food. Overall, a 4/5 for a leisure or business trip.
I had a single room with a very large bed, so a room for two, I cannot fault the cleanness of my room as well as the bathroom. Reception was first class. Breakfast is great; you can eat what you want, and there are great choices for everyone. It's about a 10 - to 15-minute walk to the old town. I took a very slow walk so considerably longer. I would love to stay there again.
Have stayed several times - with & without my dog. Rooms are excellent - superb design. The bed is enormous & so very comfortable. Breakfast is understated - far better than described. The staff are real people who love what they do. Ibis exceeds expectations.
Staff are lovely. Only stayed for the one night on the 6th floor. First impressions are room is small ish but for what you pay it is clean, double bed is a good size. Bathroom was nice clean and modern, but toilet was a squeeze in the corner! Does need a little nick of paint and some maintenance but overall good! In the centre of town so you have transport and food links radius 10 minutes
I have stayed here on three different occasions. The hotel is centrally situation, and a short walk from the train station, which has a fast connection into London. The staff are friendly, the rooms clean, modern and comfortable. The food in the restaurant is also very good. There was an issue with my late checkout but that was kindly sorted by Shannon on reception who is very good.
Never stayed at an Ibis as I had heard a few bad thing's about them , but I can say the one I used in Stevenage was excellent, the staff were welcoming and helpful we had given them a time for our arrival and rang to say we would be much later than expected the chap who I spoke to was very polite explaining it was no.problem at all. The rooms were clean and tidy the beds very comfortable indeed.all in all a very pleasant stay
